Corporate Angel Network has appointed Jack J. Pelton, chairman and chief executive of the Experimental Aircraft Association, to its board of directors. The move brings a senior general aviation figure into the governance of the U.S. nonprofit that arranges free flights for cancer patients on corporate and commercial aircraft.
Pelton has led the EAA since 2015 and previously held senior roles at Cessna, Fairchild Dornier and McDonnell Douglas. His appointment also extends his long-standing involvement in aviation industry boards, including service with the General Aviation Manufacturers Association.
Corporate Angel Network depends on business aviation and wider corporate aircraft participation to transport patients to treatment centres, making board access to established industry leadership strategically important. The organisation’s board already includes executives from business aviation, manufacturers and related services, and Pelton’s addition strengthens those ties further.
