American Airlines will expand its complimentary Main Cabin snack selection on selected flights in early October, adding Goldfish crackers in the morning and, later in the day, Goldfish alongside Tate’s Bake Shop chocolate chip cookies and Peterson’s savoury-sweet snack mix. The update keeps Biscoff cookies in the morning and adds a rotating lineup for economy passengers on one of the largest US carriers.
The refreshed offering is part of a broader effort to broaden free onboard choices rather than a shift to a buy-on-board model. American already provides complimentary snacks and non-alcoholic drinks in Main Cabin on many flights, and the new items will be introduced first on selected services before the menu is adjusted over time.
The carrier also plans to continue changing the snack mix regularly, with more choices expected in 2027. Details on the first routes and aircraft for the rollout have not yet been disclosed.
