Embraer’s Phenom 300EV has received certification from Brazil’s ANAC, the US Federal Aviation Administration and the European Union Aviation Safety Agency, clearing the light jet for operation in the main business aviation markets. The approvals make it the first light jet certified with Garmin Emergency Autoland and the largest business jet equipped with the automated landing system.
Garmin Emergency Autoland is designed to land the aircraft automatically if the pilot becomes incapacitated. Embraer developed the Multi-Purpose Electronic Controller to support electronically controlled functions linked to the system, including autobrake and rudder-by-wire. The company has positioned the Phenom 300EV as an evolution of its best-selling light jet, with the new safety suite forming the core of its latest upgrade.
The triple certification removes a key regulatory step ahead of wider market rollout in Brazil, the US and Europe. It also gives Embraer a differentiating safety feature in the competitive light jet segment, where certified technology and dispatch reliability remain central buying criteria for corporate flight departments and owner-operators.
