American Airlines expands Flagship Dining access for more business-class travellers

American Airlines will broaden access to its Flagship Dining experience from 15 September, extending the restaurant-style facility at Dallas/Fort Worth and Miami to qualifying Flagship Business and Flagship Business Plus passengers on eligible long-haul international, transcontinental and Hawaii services. The move widens one of the carrier’s most exclusive ground products beyond Flagship First as American reshapes its premium offering around business-class travel.

The change applies on a space-available basis and is expected to open the private dining rooms to more premium-cabin customers while keeping access tied to specific routes and ticket types. Seating will be handled in order of arrival, with a digital waitlist used when tables are full. American is also planning to reopen its Flagship Dining room in Los Angeles later in 2026, further extending the product as the airline phases out Flagship First and aligns its premium ground experience more closely with competitors’ business-class models.
