Discover Airlines, Spafax launch AI children’s storytelling platform for family passengers

Discover Airlines and Spafax have launched StoryWonder, an AI-powered children’s storytelling platform for families travelling on the Lufthansa Group leisure carrier. The service is integrated into the booking journey and extends across more than 50 destinations, with in-flight story generation available on A330 long-haul aircraft equipped with FlyNet connectivity.

Passengers with a valid booking receive access during online check-in and can create personalised stories using a family set-up that lets children choose characters, themes, language and destination. The platform is designed for children aged roughly three to 13 and supports five interface languages, while stories can be generated in 11 languages. It offers audio, reading and bedtime-story formats, with offline listening available for journeys beyond the aircraft cabin.

Spafax said the project shows a full family-travel use case, while the StoryWonder engine is developed by KB&B Family Marketing Experts. The underlying platform already has more than 89,000 installs and has generated over 58,000 stories, indicating the airline deployment builds on an existing product rather than a trial run.
