easyJet will end all flights from Leeds Bradford Airport on 5 January 2027, closing a presence that has lasted more than 16 years. The withdrawal covers services to Barcelona, Belfast, Geneva, Malaga, Palma de Mallorca and Paris Charles de Gaulle, leaving Jet2 and Ryanair to carry more of the competitive burden at the Yorkshire airport.
easyJet has linked the decision to a review of its network and a focus on routes that perform best with customers. Passengers booked beyond the cutoff date are being offered either a free transfer to another flight or a refund. Leeds Bradford Airport had no further comment beyond easyJet’s position.
The move removes one of the UK’s major low-cost operators from a key regional base, but it does not leave Leeds Bradford without all nonstop links to the affected cities, as other carriers continue to serve some of the same destinations. For easyJet, the decision trims capacity at an airport where it had previously expanded, while rivals remain active and, in some cases, are growing their own presence.
