Singapore Airlines to launch Madrid service via Barcelona, add more Europe flights

Singapore Airlines will launch a five-times-weekly Singapore-Barcelona-Madrid service from 26 October 2026, using the Airbus A350-900 long-haul variant with 253 seats. Madrid will become the carrier’s 15th European destination and its second in Spain, while the new route is part of a wider European network expansion that also lifts frequencies on several existing services.

The Madrid flight will operate via Barcelona, with the existing Singapore-Barcelona pattern restructured to support the new route. Singapore Airlines is also increasing services to Manchester, London Gatwick and Milan, and will introduce a new Munich service, broadening its winter 2026 Europe schedule. The changes reflect a larger push to strengthen connectivity across key business and leisure markets in Europe.
