Avion Express has taken on two new wet-lease customers, Flyone Armenia and Tarom, with one Airbus A320 assigned to each carrier. The aircraft for Flyone Armenia is based in Yerevan, while Tarom is using an A320 in Bucharest to support additional summer capacity on the Romanian network.
The deals underline sustained demand for ACMI lift during the peak travel season across Europe and neighbouring markets. Wet-lease arrangements allow airlines to add aircraft, crew, maintenance and insurance capacity quickly, helping them cover short-term demand spikes without committing to permanent fleet growth.
For Tarom, the additional aircraft provides seasonal flexibility at a time when carriers across the region typically face stronger passenger volumes. The Flyone Armenia placement extends Avion Express’s footprint in the Caucasus market, where airlines continue to rely on short-term capacity solutions to manage operational peaks and network requirements.
