Aebi Schmidt and Yeti Move expand airport winter automation partnership

Aebi Schmidt Group and Yeti Move have expanded their strategic partnership to bring driver-assisted and autonomous software to airport winter operations in North America, with exclusivity in the US market and selected collaboration in Europe and Japan. The integration will embed Yeti Hub, including Yeti Driver Assist and Yeti Autonomy, into Schmidt and MB snow-removal vehicles.

The agreement targets airside winter maintenance, where airports face pressure from severe weather, high operating costs and driver shortages. The software is designed to support safer operations, improve readiness and strengthen fleet management, while also creating a path towards fully autonomous operating modes. The companies are aligning the platform with airport snow-clearing and runway maintenance tasks rather than general vehicle automation.

Aebi Schmidt’s airport-equipment portfolio gives the tie-up an established operational base in North America, where it already supplies specialised vehicles for runway and winter maintenance. The collaboration also extends the partners’ reach into key overseas markets, though no deal value, rollout schedule or named airport customer has been disclosed.
