SkyDrive has appointed former Airbus Japan president and Airbus North Asia head Stéphane Ginoux as an advisor, effective 1 August 2026, as the Japanese eVTOL developer advances its commercialisation plans from Toyota City. Ginoux will support business development in Japan and Asia, stakeholder engagement with governments and industry groups, and work with business partners.
The appointment brings SkyDrive a senior aerospace executive with about 30 years of industry experience and long-standing networks across Japan and North Asia. Ginoux retired from Airbus in June 2025 and has since been advising Japanese and international companies. His background includes roles linked to civil aircraft growth, helicopter development, partnerships and sustainable aviation initiatives such as SAF and hydrogen aviation.
SkyDrive has been positioning its aircraft programme around urban air mobility and wider international expansion, with regulatory alignment, infrastructure planning and partner-building central to the path to service. The company links the advisory role to its broader mission to drive a “once-in-a-century mobility revolution,” while the new hire strengthens its access to government and industry stakeholders in key markets.
