Delta Air Lines is planning a return to Singapore as part of a wider Asia growth push, with executives confirming the route is back on the carrier’s radar. The service has not been formally announced, and no start date or aircraft type has been disclosed, but Seattle is seen as the most likely U.S. gateway after Los Angeles was ruled out.
The move would restore Delta’s presence in a market it last served in 2019 and add another U.S. operator to the Singapore market, where United currently flies nonstop. Delta has recently expanded in Asia with new or planned services to Hong Kong, Manila, Tokyo Narita and Riyadh.
The planned Singapore route fits a broader transpacific strategy focused on long-haul growth from Delta’s Pacific network. The airline’s recent and forthcoming Asia additions suggest it is building capacity around premium demand and stronger hub connectivity, with Seattle emerging as a key platform for future expansion.
