Nesma Airlines will extend its Zurich–Hurghada operation into the 2027 summer season, with twice-weekly flights due to start on 4 July 2027. The service will use Airbus A321 aircraft and operate on Thursdays and Sundays, giving the Egyptian carrier a more regular presence on the Switzerland–Red Sea leisure market.
The route is already set to see limited flying in October 2026, pointing to a staged build-up before the summer programme begins. Zurich is one of the key European gateways for Hurghada traffic, where demand is driven largely by tourism and package travel. The summer schedule places Nesma alongside other carriers serving the route and suggests the airline is testing a wider seasonal offering beyond short autumn and winter operations.
