Spirit Airlines’ former headquarters campus in Dania Beach, Florida, has been sold for $93.25 million in a bankruptcy-court auction to DPC HoldCo LLC, an affiliate of Boston-based Hill City Capital. The property, located at Dania Pointe, remains subject to court approval, with a hearing scheduled for 19 August.
The sale covers Spirit’s former corporate campus, which includes four buildings and a main office of about 180,000 square feet. One report also described additional space used for training and corporate functions. The transaction is part of Spirit’s bankruptcy process as the airline continues to sell assets following its collapse and shutdown in May.
The result is a sharp discount from the roughly $250 million invested in the original headquarters project, underscoring the pace at which Spirit’s former footprint is being monetised. The cash bid was the winning offer in the auction, but the deal is not yet final until the bankruptcy court gives its approval.
