Cebu Pacific Wet-Leases A320neo to Vietnam Airlines for Summer Capacity

Cebu Pacific has signed a wet-lease agreement to provide one Airbus A320neo to Vietnam Airlines, reversing the typical lessee direction as the Philippine carrier supplies crew and aircraft to the Vietnamese flag operator. The A320neo, powered by Pratt & Whitney PW1100G engines, will be stationed at Tan Son Nhat International Airport in Ho Chi Minh City from 15 July through 7 September 2026 to support domestic routes including Cam Ranh, Phu Quoc, Vinh, and Da Nang. Cebu Pacific pilots and cabin crew will operate the aircraft, allowing Vietnam Airlines to maintain capacity during peak summer demand without immediate fleet acquisition. This summer wet lease deal marks Cebu Pacific’s continued expansion into aircraft leasing, following its May 2025 wet lease of two A320s to flyadeal.
