Cathay Group has put Air Hong Kong on a new lease path for one Airbus A330P2F converted freighter, with entry into service slated for the fourth quarter of 2026. The aircraft comes from Air Transport Services Group’s leasing arm, Cargo Aircraft Management, and will run regional cargo sectors to the Chinese Mainland and nearby points for Cathay Cargo.
The move extends Cathay’s cargo-capacity buildout alongside two ordered A350F freighters. It also gives Air Hong Kong extra lift for the Three-Runway System at Hong Kong International Airport, while preserving a fleet model built around converted freighters and dense regional uplift. The next constraint is not strategy, but delivery timing.
