De Havilland Canada has delivered the first Twin Otter Classic 300-G to Ethiopian Airlines in Calgary, launching a two-aircraft fleet expansion for the carrier. The turboprop is set to support regional connectivity across Ethiopia and East Africa, with roles in remote access, tourism, and lake operations.
The deal extends Ethiopian Airlines’ push into short-field missions where payload flexibility and rugged field performance matter more than speed. The second aircraft is due later in 2026, giving the operator a matched pair for regional deployment.
