AEGEAN and Icelandair launch codeshare partnership for Greece-Iceland connectivity

AEGEAN and Icelandair have signed a codeshare memorandum of understanding to tighten air links between Greece and Iceland. The agreement gives passengers single-booking access across both networks and broadens route reach without immediate fleet deployment.

Icelandair customers will gain access to destinations across Greece, while AEGEAN customers will get improved access to Iceland. The carriers signed the deal on the sidelines of the 82nd IATA Annual General Meeting in Rio de Janeiro, and they have not yet published the route list.

The move extends network utility for leisure and VFR traffic and gives both operators a cleaner commercial bridge into each other’s core markets. More route detail should follow once the codeshare is activated.
