Saudia unveils Premium Economy cabin, with 2027 entry into service planned

Saudia unveiled a new Premium Economy cabin at World Travel Market in London on 3 November, adding a class between Economy and Business. The seat is designed to offer up to 43 inches (109 cm) of pitch, a 15.5-inch entertainment screen, an extendable calf rest, enhanced privacy and additional personal storage. The airline expects the cabin to enter service on newly delivered Boeing 787s in 2027; routes and fares have not been announced.

Saudia also plans a phased retrofit of selected Airbus A330s, Boeing 777s and Boeing 787s. It has not set a timetable for the existing-fleet work or identified which aircraft will be modified first. The rollout forms part of its New Saudia Experience fleet-modernisation and cabin-refurbishment programme.

At WTM, the airline also displayed the Business Class cabin planned for its Airbus A321XLR. The layout comprises 24 fully flat suites with direct aisle access and 120 Economy seats.
