Wheels Up orders six Embraer Phenom 300Es for 2027 delivery

Wheels Up has signed an agreement to buy six factory-new Embraer Phenom 300E business jets, with deliveries scheduled for the third and fourth quarters of 2027. The aircraft will expand the US private aviation company’s premium fleet and support planned capacity for its Signature membership operations. They will join its existing Phenom and Bombardier Challenger aircraft; the purchase price was not disclosed.

The order is Wheels Up’s first direct purchase of new aircraft from Embraer. The company expects the jets to help match planned capacity to demand from members and other customers as it shifts towards premium fleet operations and winds down legacy programmes.

In the third quarter, revenue from Wheels Up’s Phenom and Challenger fleet rose 120% year on year, while revenue from its legacy fleets fell 44%. The premium fleet grew from 24 to 43 aircraft over the same period. The new Phenom 300Es will add capacity to that fleet in 2027.
