Setna iO acquires four former Spirit A320s for dismantling

Setna iO has acquired four Airbus A320-200 airframes formerly operated by Spirit Airlines, adding components to its used serviceable material (USM) inventory. The 2010-built aircraft are to be disassembled in Goodyear, Arizona, and their recovered parts will be offered to A320-family operators, lessors and maintenance, repair and overhaul providers. The transaction moves the airframes into the aftermarket supply chain rather than back into passenger service.

Setna iO identified upgraded internal rotables and flight control surfaces among the aircraft’s equipment. The company expects the recovered material to support demand for A320 parts across its global customer network.

The acquisition adds four airframes to the supplier’s A320 inventory. No individual aircraft identities, purchase price or disassembly schedule were disclosed.
