European Flyers has brought an ALSIM Airliner simulator into operation at its Madrid training base and an ALX at Mutxamel, near Alicante, expanding airline-oriented training at both locations. The two devices represent a reported investment of €1 million. The deployment extends the training organisation’s existing collaboration with ALSIM and allows students in Alicante to complete multi-crew cooperation training locally rather than travelling to Madrid.
The FNPT II MCC-certified Airliner in Madrid combines fly-by-wire and conventional controls and is designed for advanced APS MCC and MPL Phase II training. The ALX in Mutxamel can represent single- and twin-engine piston aircraft, twin turboprops and medium twin jets. Its training scope includes PPL, CPL, instrument ratings for single- and multi-engine aircraft, and MCC.
European Flyers managing director Luis Miñano described the local MCC capability as a way for students to develop communication, teamwork, task-sharing and joint decision-making skills. ALSIM sales director Leonardo Rodrigues characterised the installations as a continuation of the companies’ long-standing relationship.
