FlyBIS commits to two Eve eVTOLs, with rights for ten more

Eve Air Mobility and Brazil’s FlyBIS Aviation have signed a binding agreement covering up to 12 eVTOL aircraft, comprising two firm orders and purchase rights for ten more. The companies plan to develop electric air mobility operations in southern Brazil, initially linking destinations in Santa Catarina and Rio Grande do Sul. No delivery schedule or entry-into-service date was disclosed; operations remain dependent on aircraft development, certification and operational preparations.

The agreement advances a 2022 letter of intent into a firm commitment for the first two aircraft. Potential routes include Navegantes, Balneário Camboriú and Florianópolis on the Santa Catarina coast, and Gramado and Bento Gonçalves in the mountainous tourism region of Rio Grande do Sul. These are proposed connections, not confirmed scheduled services.

Eve and FlyBIS will continue work on network planning, operational readiness, infrastructure and integration with the wider transport system. Eve’s full-scale engineering prototype has completed more than 70 flights, including hover and low-speed testing. The flight-test campaign is expanding into transition flights, including activation of the rear pusher propulsion system as the aircraft progresses towards wing-borne flight.
