Air Europa consolidates maintenance activities under Air Europa Technics

Air Europa presented Air Europa Technics at the MRO Europe trade fair in Amsterdam on 4 November, bringing its maintenance activities and training centre under a single brand. The initiative covers work carried out by Air Europa Mantenimiento and Globalia Mantenimiento and is part of the airline’s +Air 2028 strategic plan. The unit will maintain Air Europa’s fleet and serve third-party operators, with preparations under way for A350-900 arrivals from 2028.

Air Europa Technics will establish a dedicated sales function and combine aircraft-material purchasing. The measures are intended to pool capabilities and improve efficiency while developing maintenance work beyond the airline’s own fleet. The company has not disclosed an investment amount or a target for third-party business.

The maintenance teams are also preparing for the Airbus widebodies, with training capacity set to be strengthened in Palma de Mallorca and new training spaces planned in the Madrid-Barajas hangar. Air Europa Mantenimiento and Globalia Mantenimiento will continue operating normally and retain their organisational structures, autonomy and applicable employment conditions.
