Air Europa groups maintenance activities under Air Europa Technics

Air Europa has introduced Air Europa Technics, a shared brand for maintenance activities linked to Air Europa Mantenimiento, Globalia Mantenimiento and the group’s technical training centre. Presented at MRO Europe in Amsterdam, the initiative will coordinate service sales and aircraft-material purchasing while maintaining Air Europa’s fleet and serving third-party operators. The existing businesses will continue to operate with their own organisational structures and workforce conditions; the announcement does not describe a legal merger.

The plan forms part of Air Europa’s +Air 2028 strategy, which aims to expand maintenance activity beyond the airline’s own fleet. Training capacity in Palma de Mallorca is to be strengthened, with new training spaces planned at the Madrid-Barajas hangar. Air Europa is also preparing teams for the planned arrival of Airbus A350-900s from 2028. No investment amount, implementation timetable or third-party revenue target was disclosed.

Air Europa Technics also intends to develop external maintenance work. Aviation Week reported that the group is seeking to expand line-maintenance services for other airlines and increase heavy-maintenance capacity. It reported a two-year heavy-maintenance contract with Eurowings Technik signed during the trade fair; that contract was not included in the account of the brand launch.
