Fraport increased revenue by 3.8% to €3.466 billion and EBITDA by 2.0% to a record €1.178 billion in the first nine months of 2026, as overseas operations contributed more to group earnings. Its airports handled about 146 million passengers, 1.7% more than a year earlier and above 2019 levels for the first time. At Frankfurt, traffic edged down 0.2% to 47.5 million passengers.
International operations generated 48% of group EBITDA for the period, up from 43% a year earlier, and 54% in the third quarter. Passenger growth included 5.1% in Greece, 2.8% in Lima, 15.7% in Ljubljana and 9.1% in Brazil. The overseas portfolio’s increased contribution came as Frankfurt traffic remained broadly flat.
Net profit fell 28.8% to €314.5 million, primarily because of higher interest costs and increased depreciation and amortisation following expansion projects in Lima and Frankfurt. Free cash flow nearly doubled to about €93 million.
Fraport confirmed its full-year outlook, which includes EBITDA of up to €1.5 billion and net profit of €300 million to €400 million. The company cited geopolitical conditions in the Middle East and higher jet-fuel prices among the difficult market conditions. It also attributed Frankfurt’s constrained traffic to high regulatory costs and reduced flight offerings, including the shutdown of CityLine.
