Edelweiss takes delivery of fifth A350-900, still in Star Alliance livery

Edelweiss has taken delivery of its fifth Airbus A350-900, registered HB-IHD, adding another aircraft to the Swiss airline’s long-haul fleet. Received on 30 October, the jet still carries Star Alliance livery. It is due to arrive at Edelweiss’s Zurich base on the morning of 6 November, with its repaint in the airline’s red-and-white scheme planned for later in the month.

Edelweiss plans to operate six A350-900s. Before HB-IHD’s delivery, four were in service: HB-IHA, HB-IHB, HB-IHC and HB-IHF. The sixth aircraft is still to come.

The arrival and repainting dates remain scheduled rather than completed. HB-IHD is expected to reach Zurich before entering Edelweiss colours; no revised operational entry date has been reported.
