LATAM Brasil to launch São Paulo–Geneva Boeing 787 service

LATAM Airlines Brasil plans to launch a three-times-weekly nonstop service between São Paulo/Guarulhos and Geneva in April 2027, using Boeing 787-9 aircraft. The route, subject to government approval, will give Geneva a direct connection to Brazil and become LATAM Brasil’s 11th European destination and 33rd international destination. Tickets are scheduled to go on sale through the airline’s channels on 1 November 2026.

Flights are planned to leave Guarulhos on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays at 18:05, arriving in Geneva at 09:55 the following day. The return service is scheduled for Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, departing Geneva at 12:05 and reaching São Paulo at 18:55. All times are local and remain subject to change.

The new link will also feed passengers into LATAM’s domestic Brazilian network and its services to Chile, Peru and Colombia. Switzerland’s existing nonstop connection with Brazil is SWISS’s Guarulhos–Zurich service, which continues to Buenos Aires.

LATAM expects the 787-9 to offer weekly cargo capacity of 55 tonnes to Geneva and 36 tonnes to São Paulo. Cargo targets include industrial components, other high-value goods and pharmaceuticals requiring cold-chain handling. The airline estimates that some shipments bound for Switzerland could arrive at least eight hours sooner by avoiding onward road transport from other European airports.
