SWISS plans to introduce its Airbus A350-900 on flights between Zurich and Mumbai from 15 December 2026, extending the aircraft’s winter deployment beyond Johannesburg and Shanghai. The route is scheduled to receive daily A350 service through 3 January, followed by six flights a week from 4 January until the end of the winter timetable in March. The aircraft carries the airline’s SWISS Senses cabin.
The planned change follows the expected arrival of another A350-900, registered HB-IFD, in November. SWISS currently lists Johannesburg and selected Shanghai services for the A350 in its 2026/27 winter schedule; Mumbai is not included in that published route information. The airline’s reported confirmation of the Mumbai deployment was provided to aeroTELEGRAPH in response to an inquiry.
The aircraft change will bring the A350 and its cabin across all four travel classes to another of SWISS’s Indian destinations. The carrier also serves Delhi and is launching Zurich–Bengaluru flights during the winter schedule. No flight numbers or capacity figures for the Mumbai deployment have been provided. The schedule remains planned and may change.
