Wheels Up has signed a five-year landing-gear maintenance agreement with Av8, a Victor Sierra company, covering overhaul and exchange support for its Embraer Phenom 300 fleet. The arrangement is intended to support Wheels Up’s planned fleet expansion while improving maintenance predictability and reducing aircraft ground time through access to Av8’s ready-to-install landing-gear exchange pool.
Under the agreement, a serviceable landing-gear assembly can be fitted while the removed unit undergoes overhaul, avoiding the need to wait for each component to complete its shop cycle. Av8’s recently acquired rotatable inventory pool is expected to support the programme from its start and help prevent disruption to Wheels Up operations.
The support programme is backed by more than 300 FAA Parts Manufacturer Approval approvals for the Phenom platform and in-house repair procedures approved under the RSDER framework. Av8 is also offering flat-rate pricing; its claims that the programme includes the industry’s largest exchange pool and the longest warranty available for Phenom 300 landing gear have not been independently quantified.
Av8 is an FAA- and EASA-certified repair station specialising in landing-gear overhauls and PMA parts for commercial, business and general aviation aircraft. The agreement covers no publicly disclosed financial value, fleet quantity or maintenance location.
