Syrian Airlines will resume direct, scheduled flights between Damascus International Airport and Berlin on 10 November, restoring a regular Germany connection after more than a decade. The service is planned to operate twice weekly with an Airbus A320, linking the Syrian capital with Berlin and reducing the need for Syrian travellers in Germany to use connecting airports.
The route forms part of Syrian Airlines’ broader effort to rebuild its European network after suspending operations during the Syrian civil war and amid Western sanctions. The carrier recently resumed direct Damascus–Copenhagen flights, also using an Airbus A320.
The Damascus–Berlin service is scheduled for Tuesdays and Fridays, with departures from Damascus at 06:55 and 14:20 respectively. Same-day return flights are planned. The operational schedule has been reported by aviation schedule specialist AeroRoutes, while the route and launch date were confirmed by Syria’s General Authority of Civil Aviation and Air Transport.
The authority expects to announce another European destination from Damascus by the end of the week. Additional services to and from Aleppo are also being prepared as Syria works to restore international air connectivity.
