Etihad commercial chief Arik De leaves with immediate effect, no successor named

Etihad Airways Chief Revenue and Commercial Officer Arik De has left the Abu Dhabi carrier with immediate effect, leaving one of its most senior commercial roles vacant. De confirmed his departure in a LinkedIn post on Wednesday, while Etihad had not named a successor or issued a public explanation in the available coverage.

The departure removes the executive responsible for revenue and commercial strategy at a time when Etihad is continuing to manage growth across its network and customer proposition. De had been with the airline for nearly five years, and his profile was removed from Etihad’s leadership page after the exit became public.

The sudden change comes without an identified interim arrangement, leaving the carrier without a publicly visible replacement for a role that spans core commercial functions. FlightGlobal also reported the departure on Thursday, underscoring the significance of the move within the airline industry.
