Bedford To Headline Expanded ‘Meet the Regulators’ Session at NBAA-BACE

FAA Administrator Bryan Bedford will headline an expanded National Business Aviation Association “Meet the Regulators” session at NBAA-BACE 2026, giving operators and manufacturers direct access to the agency’s views on air-traffic-control modernisation, international operations, safety and aircraft certification. The session is scheduled for 3 p.m. on 20 October on the Horizon Stage at the Las Vegas Convention Center in Las Vegas.

Bedford will open the programme with a one-to-one discussion with NBAA Senior Vice President of Government Affairs Kristie Greco Johnson. The session will then continue with a panel featuring Ludovic Aron, the European Union Aviation Safety Agency’s US representative; Dan Edwards, US Department of Transportation Assistant Secretary for Aviation and International Affairs; Rebecca Guy, FAA Deputy Assistant Administrator for the Airspace Modernisation Office and chief technology officer; and Caitlin Locke, FAA Associate Administrator for Aviation Safety. Greco Johnson and Heidi Williams will moderate.

The expanded format comes as business aviation faces significant regulatory changes. The FAA recently stopped issuing and rescinded existing single-pilot exemptions for certain legacy Cessna Citation models, while industry concerns also remain over a proposed change to oxygen-mask requirements for some pressurised operations. NBAA-BACE runs from 20 to 22 October, with the programme expected to provide insight into the agency’s priorities but not necessarily new policy commitments.
