All Nippon Airways (ANA) is deploying Quvia’s edge-to-cloud network platform to obtain an independent, real-time view of in-flight connectivity performance and passenger quality of experience across its flights, aircraft and routes. The arrangement supports ANA’s expansion of free, high-speed internet across its international fleet and is intended to guide improvements to the airline’s onboard digital experience.
Quvia’s platform combines passenger quality-of-experience information with network-performance data, giving ANA a consistent measurement layer across its connected aircraft operations. The airline can use the information to identify connectivity issues, support proactive optimisation and inform future decisions on onboard connectivity.
The deployment is designed to provide visibility beyond the reporting of individual connectivity providers, enabling comparisons of passenger experience across aircraft, routes and connectivity environments. It also gives ANA a basis for assessing how network performance affects passengers in real time as its international connectivity programme expands.
The companies have not disclosed the commercial value of the arrangement, implementation timetable, aircraft count, connectivity providers covered, technical integration details or specific performance targets.
