Qatar Airways and WestJet have agreed a reciprocal codeshare partnership linking Qatar Airways’ Doha services from Toronto Pearson and Montréal–Trudeau with WestJet’s domestic network. The initial arrangement will give Qatar Airways passengers onward access to nine Canadian destinations, while WestJet customers can book Qatar Airways flights from both cities to Doha and connect with its network of more than 170 destinations.
Qatar Airways will place its QR code on selected WestJet-operated services from Toronto and Montreal to Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, Halifax, Ottawa, Regina, Saskatoon, St. John’s and Winnipeg. WestJet will initially place its code on Qatar Airways’ non-stop flights between Toronto and Doha, and Montreal and Doha.
Eligible itineraries are expected to support single-ticket travel, coordinated connections, through-checked baggage and WestJet Rewards earning across the journey. WestJet plans to add selected Qatar Airways destinations beyond Doha in a later phase.
The partnership coincides with Qatar Airways increasing its combined Canada schedule from 12 to 14 weekly flights from 25 October, including daily service to both Toronto and Montreal. The airlines have not specified a complete implementation timetable or confirmed whether every listed route is immediately available for booking.
