India’s Defence Exhibition Organisation will stage the 16th Aero India aerospace and defence exhibition at Air Force Station Yelahanka in Bengaluru from 8 to 12 February 2027. The event will combine aerospace and defence technology displays, flying demonstrations, strategic discussions and business meetings, with the first three days reserved for business visitors and the final two open to the public.
The exhibition is expected to bring together international aerospace and defence companies, government representatives, military officials and technology specialists. Its programme will highlight Indian defence capabilities and their export potential, while providing a platform for industry engagement and technology cooperation. No specific aircraft order, contract, partnership or product launch has been disclosed in connection with the event.
Preparations also include measures to reduce bird-strike risks around the venue. Bengaluru Rural authorities have begun removing illegal catfish ponds near Yelahanka after concerns that farms using meat and animal waste attract vultures, eagles and other birds into aircraft operating areas. Several ponds have been demolished and cases registered against 18 people. Officials are monitoring bird movements around Yelahanka and Devanahalli, while a temporary ban on meat, chicken and fish sales within 10 km of the airbase has been proposed for the show period.
