Emirates turns to Manila for first pilot recruitment drive in the Philippines

Emirates will hold its first pilot recruitment roadshow in the Philippines on 28 and 29 October, seeking experienced commercial pilots in Manila for First Officer, Direct Entry Captain and Accelerated Command Programme positions. Organised with recruitment agency Industrial Personnel and Management Services Inc. (IPAMS), the drive supports the Dubai-based airline’s expanding all-widebody fleet and rising passenger demand. Successful candidates will be based and trained in Dubai.

Three sessions are scheduled at IPAMS: 10:00 and 13:00 local time on 28 October, followed by a 10:00 session on 29 October. Applicants will receive information on eligibility, recruitment procedures, training, career progression and employment benefits, and will be able to speak with Emirates pilots.

The roadshow will also promote Emirates’ campaign enabling experienced narrowbody captains to transition directly into command roles on its widebody fleet. Selected pilots will undergo evidence- and competency-based training at Emirates facilities in Dubai.

Benefits include tax-free pay, 42 days of annual leave, company-provided accommodation, child-education support, insurance and travel benefits for eligible family members. Emirates recruited more than 450 pilots during its 2025–26 financial year and has outlined plans to recruit about 5,000 pilots over eight years as it expands its fleet. The airline had received 27 Airbus A350s and had 47 more on order, alongside commitments for 270 Boeing 777X aircraft.

Emirates has served the Philippines for 36 years and operates 32 weekly flights linking Manila, Cebu and Clark with Dubai. The recruitment event will create a local hiring channel, but the positions are not Philippine-based.
