Iran Air launches weekly Zahedan–Quetta service

Iran Air has launched a direct service between Zahedan in southeastern Iran and Quetta in Pakistan’s Balochistan province, restoring air links between the two neighbouring border regions. The weekly Wednesday operation began on 14 October, with flight IR 826 departing Zahedan at 10:10 a.m. and return flight IR 827 leaving Quetta at 2:25 p.m. The route gives Iran Air three active connections with Pakistan.

The service connects Iran’s Sistan and Baluchestan province with Pakistan’s Balochistan province and is expected to support passenger travel, business activity and cross-border trade. Pakistani reports described the operation as a resumption after a temporary suspension. The Zahedan–Quetta and Mashhad–Quetta services were originally inaugurated in December 2025 before being halted.

The returning flight carried more than 80 passengers, according to Pakistani reporting. Iran Air’s announcement did not specify the aircraft type, fares, booking arrangements or an end date for the weekly service. The airline also operates routes linking Iran with Karachi, including services from Tehran and Mashhad.
