Air Tahiti receives 26-seat all-business ATR 72-600 for premium island services

Air Tahiti has taken delivery of an ATR 72-600 fitted with ATR’s HighLine all-business-class cabin, introducing a 26-seat aircraft for premium inter-island travel in French Polynesia. The aircraft will support the airline’s new Air Tahiti Signature service between Tahiti and destinations including Bora Bora and Raiatea-Tahaa, with commercial operations scheduled to begin in December 2026.

The cabin uses a 1-by-1 layout, giving every passenger a window seat and direct access to the aisle. The configuration replaces the conventional ATR 72-600 layout, which typically accommodates about 70 passengers, with an executive-style interior focused on additional space and privacy.

Air Tahiti plans to use the aircraft for scheduled flights and charter missions. The service forms part of the airline’s fleet-renewal programme and follows an order for four ATR 72-600s. The all-business configuration was selected for one aircraft and unveiled at the Paris Air Show in 2025.

Air Tahiti is the second airline to introduce ATR’s HighLine all-business configuration, after Malaysia’s Berjaya Air. The delivery gives the French Polynesian carrier a dedicated premium product for short regional routes rather than representing a fleet-wide change in cabin layout.
