Egide has partially suspended operations at its Bollène facility in southern France after a cyberattack routed through an external IT service provider affected systems at the site. The incident, detected on 6 October, prompted preventive measures at the French manufacturer, whose hermetic packages and interconnection solutions support aerospace, defence, space, radar, electronic-warfare, aircraft-engine and braking applications.
Egide’s technical teams are working with the service provider to contain the intrusion and restore affected systems, while external cybersecurity specialists are assisting the investigation. The company has not identified the provider, attack method or threat actor, and has not confirmed whether data were removed.
The investigation is assessing the nature and scope of potentially affected data. Egide has notified France’s data-protection authority, CNIL, and filed a complaint with judicial authorities. The Bollène site houses the group’s French manufacturing operations and headquarters, but the available information does not establish the duration of the partial suspension or its effect on production volumes, customer data or deliveries. No further company update had been issued by 14 October.
