Flying Blue retains top spot in point.me’s 2026 loyalty programme ranking

Air France-KLM’s Flying Blue has been ranked the world’s best airline rewards programme for the third consecutive year, scoring 88.8 in point.me’s 2026 assessment. The ranking evaluated 33 programmes using data on more than 250 million award fares, with Flying Blue performing strongly in earning opportunities, partner access and award-seat availability. United MileagePlus placed second and Air Canada Aeroplan third.

Point.me assessed programmes across eight categories, including redemption rates, booking experience, customer service, award holds and change fees. Its analysis used the same framework as the previous year, but covered 33 programmes compared with 59 in 2025, limiting direct year-on-year comparisons. The data was assessed through 1 August 2026.

The ranking is global, but its scoring weights reflect the circumstances of a typical US traveller. Programme value can vary with a member’s home location, destinations and existing points balance. Air France-KLM counts more than 35 million Flying Blue members; the programme has over 40 airline partners and 100 commercial partners, with access to more than 1,000 destinations.
