Air Transat adds Geneva and Birmingham to five new summer 2027 routes

Air Transat will launch five seasonal nonstop routes between Canada and Europe for summer 2027, including Montreal–Geneva and Toronto–Birmingham, both new destinations for the airline. The services are scheduled to run from June to October. Geneva and Birmingham will each receive two weekly flights, while Quebec City–Lyon, Quebec City–Barcelona and Montreal–Faro are planned once weekly.

The additions expand Air Transat’s European network from Quebec City to five nonstop destinations: Lyon and Barcelona join Paris, Marseille and Nantes. From Montreal, Faro will become the carrier’s third Portuguese destination, alongside Lisbon and Porto. The Birmingham service adds a third UK destination from Toronto, complementing London and Manchester.

The schedule also extends two sun routes beyond the winter 2027 season: Quebec City–Puerto Plata and Montreal–St. Maarten will operate year-round. Air Transat provided operating dates and days of the week for the new European services, but did not specify flight times or aircraft types. The programme is intended to widen destination choice and offer more flexibility, including summer travel on selected leisure routes, according to Transat’s chief revenue officer.
