Edelweiss drops planned Zurich–Las Vegas service for summer 2027

Edelweiss has removed its planned seasonal Zurich–Las Vegas service from the summer 2027 timetable, cancelling the route before launch. The Swiss leisure airline had scheduled two weekly flights from 26 May using Airbus A350-900 aircraft. The decision ends Edelweiss’ direct Las Vegas offering for the season, with weak market demand cited as the reason.

The flights were due to operate on Wednesdays and Saturdays. They no longer appear in the latest timetable update, and Edelweiss has not indicated whether the route could return in a later season.

The capacity is being redirected towards other leisure markets. Edelweiss will increase Zurich–Tampa service to five flights per week from early July through early September 2027. Swiss travellers will still be able to reach Las Vegas through Frankfurt, a Lufthansa Group hub, although the timetable change removes the planned nonstop connection from Zurich.

Edelweiss operates from Zurich as the leisure-airline sister of Swiss International Air Lines. The airline has not disclosed whether any bookings were affected or whether additional replacement capacity to Las Vegas is planned.
