KLM to deploy larger aircraft on Aruba and Bonaire routes

KLM will provide more premium seating and extra-comfort options on flights to Aruba and Bonaire during the 2026/27 winter season, beginning 25 October. The Dutch carrier will operate Boeing 777 and Boeing 787-10 aircraft on the Dutch Caribbean routes, replacing Airbus aircraft and increasing access to Premium Comfort and Business Class seating.

The aircraft change forms part of KLM’s wider winter fleet adjustment as it continues to phase out its Airbus A330-200 fleet. The airline’s winter schedule runs from 25 October through 27 March, with Aruba and Bonaire among the intercontinental destinations receiving predominantly Boeing-operated services.

KLM has not disclosed the precise seat increase or whether every flight will use the larger aircraft. The available schedule information also does not establish any change to frequencies. The confirmed adjustment is therefore primarily a cabin-capacity and aircraft-product change, giving passengers on the Caribbean services more opportunities to book higher-comfort seating during the winter period.
