Goodwin acquires STACK.aero charter operations platform

Goodwin Company has acquired STACK.aero, a software platform used by private-charter brokers, aircraft operators and corporate flight departments. The Columbus, Ohio-based financial-technology company plans to connect STACK.aero’s charter workflow, from customer inquiry and booking through trip management, with its payment processing, banking-service integrations and automated financial-reconciliation tools.

STACK.aero will retain its existing brand within Goodwin, while founder and chief executive Greg Jarrett and the current team remain in place. Existing customers will continue using the platform without migrating and will not be required to adopt Goodwin’s additional services.

The companies intend to make integrations between the operational and financial platforms optional. No implementation timetable or detailed product changes have been disclosed, and financial terms were not released.

The transaction combines aviation-specific customer and trip-management software with payments and financial workflows. For brokers and operators, the planned connection could bring more of the charter lifecycle into a single environment, while preserving the existing STACK.aero platform and customer relationships.
