Setna iO Acquires Ex-Allegiant A319-100 on Lease to Global Crossing Airlines

Setna iO, a Chicago-based aviation group specializing in used serviceable material, trading, repair services, and asset leasing, has acquired one Airbus A319-100 aircraft from AE Industrial Partners. The aircraft, previously operated by Allegiant Air, is currently on lease to Miami-based charter carrier Global Crossing Airlines (GlobalX).

This transaction marks the first of four A319-100 aircraft Setna iO plans to acquire from AE Industrial Partners funds, as part of GlobalX’s fleet expansion announced in July 2025. The specific A319 aligns with GlobalX’s leasing of four units bearing manufacturer serial numbers 2477, 2481, 2492, and 2503, with deliveries scheduled sequentially starting August 31, 2025, followed by September 30, October 31, and November 30, 2025. Each is expected to enter service approximately 30 days after delivery, pending FAA and DOT approvals, boosting GlobalX’s Airbus A320 family fleet to 22 aircraft.

Setna iO will serve as the servicer and manager of the aircraft throughout its two-year lease term supporting GlobalX operations. The aircraft’s history includes prior service with Allegiant Air before transitioning to GlobalX. This move fits GlobalX’s hybrid ownership strategy, transitioning from an all-leased fleet while expanding to meet charter and passenger demand. GlobalX, operating 18 aircraft as of August 2025 including A319s, A320s, and A321s, continues fleet growth amid plans for up to 35 aircraft by end-2027.
