Boeing and aircraft lessor Icelease have agreed to convert one 767-300 into a Boeing Converted Freighter, with options for two additional aircraft. The first conversion is scheduled to begin in the first quarter of 2027 at ST Engineering’s airframe maintenance facilities in Singapore, with delivery expected in the second quarter. The freighter will join the managed cargo fleet of Dublin-based IAT Leasing, Icelease’s sister company.
The agreement was signed on 22 October at the Cargo Facts Symposium. The additional conversions remain options, not firm orders, and neither the donor aircraft nor an eventual operator has been identified.
IAT Leasing’s managed cargo portfolio already includes seven 737-800BCFs and other freighters. Boeing lists the 767-300BCF’s range at 3,300 nautical miles and its payload at 57 tonnes. Financial terms were not disclosed.
